Mano-viññānaṃ ādittaṃ

Yamp‘idaṃ mano-samphassa-paccaya Uppajjati vedayitaṃ
Sukkhaṃ vā dukkhaṃ vā adukkham-Asukkhaṃ vā,
Tampi ādittaṃ
Kena ādittaṃ.
Ādittaṃ rāg‘agginā dos‘agginā moh‘agginā,
Ādittaṃ jātiyā jara-maranena,
Sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehI
Upāyāsehi adittanti vadāmi

with birth, ageing, & death,
of delusion. Aflame, I tell you,with birth,
with sorrows, lamentations, pains,
