สักกัตตวา พุทธะระตะนัง

Sakkatvā buddha-ratanaṃ                                              Having revered the jewel of the Buddha,

Osathaṃ uttamaṃ varaṃ                                               The highest, most excellent medicine,

Hitaṃ deva-manussānaṃ                                               The welfare of human & heavenly beings:

Buddha-tejana sotthinā                                                    Through the Buddha’s might & safety,

Nassant’upaddavā sabbe                                                May all obstacles vanish,

Dukkhā vūpasamentu te.                                                May your sufferings grow totally calm.

Sakkatvā dhamma-ratanaṃ                                           Having revered the jewel of the Dhamma,

Osathaṃ uttamaṃ varaṃ                                               The highest, most excellent medicine,

Pariḷāhūpasamanaṃ                                                         The stiller of feverish passion:

Dhamma-tejena sotthinā                                 Through the Dhamma’s might &safety.

Nassant’upaddavā sabbe,                                              May all obstacles vanish,

Bhayā vūpasamentu te.                                                   May your frears grow totally calm.

Sakkatvā saṅgha-ratanaṃ                                              Having revered the rewel of the Saṅgha,

Osathaṃ uttamaṃ varaṃ                                               The highest, most excellent medicine,

Āhuneyyaṃ pāhuneyyaṃ                                               Worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality:

Saṅghatejena sotthinā                                                     Through the Saṅgha’s might & safety,

Nassant’upaddavā sabbe                                                May all obstacles vanish,

Rogā vūpasamentu te.                                                     May your diseases grow totally calm.
